everytime you walk into a room?\u00a0 I thought so.\u00a0Now, I know making such a huge commitment to change can be a big, scary thing.\u00a0 In most cases, you have to pay an electrician huge amounts of greenbacks to make the transition.\u00a0 But not in this new relationship!\u00a0 Let me show you just how easy Legrand Adorne installation can be.\u00a0 Grab your screwdriver, because it&#8217;s time for some more thrilling heroics!<\/p>\n<h3>Legrand Adorne Installation: First Steps<\/h3>\n<p>They say letting go is the hardest part of any relationship.\u00a0 Well, I say live and let die!\u00a0 Don&#8217;t swim in shark infested waters!\u00a0 When life gives you lemons, demand to see life&#8217;s manager!\u00a0 All of which have nothing to do with the topic at hand, which is <a title=\"Legrand Adorne products at Lighting and Locks\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lightingandlocks.com\/swouanddi.html\">Legrand Adorne<\/a> Installation.\u00a0 So, back on track, you may have had a good run with your old light switch, but you have different needs now, and it&#8217;s time to let go.\u00a0 The first thing you need to do is to go turn off the breaker.\u00a0 Yes, you do.\u00a0 No, just flipping off the switch won&#8217;t work, because you&#8217;re replacing the switch.\u00a0 R-e-p-l-a-c-i-n-g.\u00a0 Get it?\u00a0 Good.<\/p>\n<p>Right!\u00a0 Now that the electricity is off, you&#8217;ll need to gather the tools you need for your Legrand Adorne Installation.\u00a0 This lengthy list includes a screwdriver and a razor blade.\u00a0 Okay, so maybe it wasn&#8217;t so long after all.\u00a0 I get paid per word, so I gotta throw some extra ones in there somewhere.\u00a0 Fhwdgads.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll need the screwdriver, more than likely a flathead, to undo the plastic cover of the switch.\u00a0 Now, you&#8217;ll only need the razor blade if you&#8217;ve painted since your light switch was installed, or you put the switch on wet paint.<\/p>\n<p>If you painted around the switch, you&#8217;ll need the blade to CAREFULLY cut around the very outer edge of the switch plate so you don&#8217;t tear any paint and end up sleeping on the couch for a week.\u00a0 AGAIN.\u00a0 If the switch plate was installed on wet or semi-wet paint, it wouldn&#8217;t hurt to do the same (well, if you cut yourself, it will hurt), and then use the edge of the blade to pry up the plate.<\/p>\n<h3>Legrand Adorne Installation: Next Steps<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/site.lightingandlocks.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/yhst-10308730349237_2253_50806114.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-616 alignright\" alt=\"yhst-10308730349237_2253_50806114\" src=\"http:\/\/site.lightingandlocks.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/yhst-10308730349237_2253_50806114-201x300.jpg\" width=\"201\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/site.lightingandlocks.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/yhst-10308730349237_2253_50806114-201x300.jpg 201w, https:\/\/site.lightingandlocks.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/yhst-10308730349237_2253_50806114-689x1024.jpg 689w, https:\/\/site.lightingandlocks.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/yhst-10308730349237_2253_50806114.jpg 1033w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 201px) 100vw, 201px\" \/><\/a>Now, we&#8217;ve got the switch plate off, and for the next step in our Legrand Adorne Installation, we see a bunch of scary electrical stuff inside behind the switch itself.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t turn back, now!\u00a0 No pain, no gain!\u00a0 Nothing ventured, nothing gained!\u00a0 Live long and Prosper!<\/p>\n<p>Okay, now unscrew the two screws, one at the top and bottom, that hold the silver bracket part of the switch.\u00a0 Again, you might need that razor blade again to cut around the top and bottom of the silver bracket like before.\u00a0 Now, yank that puppy out as hard as you can!\u00a0 Just kidding.\u00a0 Really.\u00a0 Lighting and Locks does not condone the yanking of puppies in any form.<\/p>\n<p><em>Gently<\/em> pull out the switch enough so that the wires on the side are visible and easy to reach.\u00a0 And you&#8217;re sure the electricity is off.\u00a0 Doubly sure?\u00a0 Sure sure?\u00a0 Okay, but be warned, I ain&#8217;t paying your hospital bill if it isn&#8217;t turned off.<\/p>\n<p>With the electricity off, unscrew the side screws and remove the wires, making note of their location.<\/p>\n<h3>Legrand Adorne Installation: The Final Steps<\/h3>\n<p>You&#8217;re almost done with your Legrand Adorne Installation&#8211;
